They are parked and shut down. A derailment ahead of this train in Izard County on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at about 2:00 PM has shut this part of the system down for a bit. From the photo in the local newspaper (Baxter Bulletin), it appears that due to a washout from the recent heavy rain, two locomotives and two boxcars slid off the tracks, and a couple of them ended up in the White River. It looks like one of the units was a CN locomotive, possibly in the 9500 series (it looks like # 9520 or maybe 9570), judging by the newspaper photo. |
