A Chilly Switch Job
Title:  A Chilly Switch Job
Description:  The crew aboard former UP GP38-2 2301 commence the start of their switching duties by decoupling and heading down to the passing siding so coil cars can be pushed down the spur into the customer located at the very end of the Golden Valley Industrial Lead just west of where the line crosses Xenium Lane. The crew has had a very cold days worth of work cut out for them because by the time the train arrived here early in the afternoon on this date temps had yet to break above zero!

More incognito Geeps at south end of Butler Yard
Title:  More incognito Geeps at south end of Butler Yard
Description:  UP seems to have a habit of selling off their four-axle road switchers to leasing companies, then leasing them back still in UP paint but with new reporting marks and numbers. These are the ex-UP 366 and 369, both originally C&NW.

Obscured heritage
Title:  Obscured heritage
Description:  This bay window caboose is rusty and its ball-and-bar logo is faded, but legible. 2301 is actually an ex-CNW GP38-2 that was sold to a leasing company and then leased back, renumbered and relettered but still in UP Armour Yellow and gray.
