This scheme is slightly different form the original 4624 in that the handrails are red, sidesill is black, and the decal is slightly bigger on the long hood. 4012 is the first of the original ex-CN units to receive the new CLNA paint scheme. Photo taken w/ permission. |

Grimesland, North Carolina, May 23, 2019, 11:12am: Traveling in an area I didn’t know, and came up on this westbound train heading into Grimesland. I just tried to watch the GPS and see where it would take me to get ahead of the train without wrecking or getting stopped and ended up at this crossing on Brick Kiln Road just seconds before the gates went down and CLNA 4012 came through leading a loaded short hopper train (phosphate?). |
