One of the Morristown & Erie's recent acquisitions awaits work alongside one of NJ Transit's commuter diesels. ME 23 started off life on the ATSF before heading to the northern Maine woods to work the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad. NJT 4212 was built as an EMD demonstrator unit before going to work for Penn Central and later Conrail. Both are rebuilds, 23 by the Santa Fe from a GP-7 and 4212 from a GP40 by Conrail for NJ Transit. |

The bottom of this frame contains a portion of the original model board that called this very same tower home for many years. In time it will be mounted in its rightful place again as the towers restoration to it's 1920's appearance continues. |
