Description:  A day after the L&C added a Springmaidlogo and L&C lettering, I went up to shoot the L&C's first wide nose locomotive. They also touched up some area on the cab where the CN red was coming through as well as repainting the numbers on the long good. G&O wings and the Yadkin Valley RR logo wasalso tken off the side o the cab.

Description:  While it won't get blue paint on the L&C, the railroad did mark it as their own with a Springmaid logo and name of the road on the cab. It came to the L&C wearing a Yadkin Valley Railroad logo under a set of G&O wings and YVRR reporting marks.

Description:  Once they were ready to leave with the road power for the day, the sun burned through the last of the fog for the rest of the trip. L&C 9548 is a new-to-them former Canadian National GP40-2LW that had worked for many years on the Yadkin Valley. YVRR and L&C are both owned by the Gulf & Ohio.
