At 10:32am on Friday, December 24, 2021, eastbound ethanol train K676 passed through Youngstown, Ohio with CSXT #8857 (SD40-2) leading CSXT #994 (ES44AH). Division Street bridge is in the background. Considering the #8857 was built as Conrail #6500 in August of 1979, it was a nice early Christmas gift from CSX to see this leading a mainline train. Note, the #8857 still sports one marker light on the conductors side of the short hood. |
