PRR 1361, K-4S, c. 1982
Title:  PRR 1361, K-4S, c. 1982
Description:  #1361. Here is an original 35mm color slide that was taken by an unidentified photographer at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, c. 1982. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1361, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during May of 1918, retired in September of 1956, enshrined at the Horseshoe Curve on 08 June 1957, restored for excursion service in April of 1987, withdrawn from service and disassembled because of safety concerns, and still not reassembled to wholeness. Looks to me like this photo was taken from a passing train, perhaps from the cabin car of the westbound freight train visible across Burgoon Run.
