Description:  BUOI works Elmira yard, picking up eastbound cars. Note the pair of NYCTA R 32's right behind the power. They're coming back from rebuild at Morrison Knudsen, now in the former Erie shop, in Hornell. It will be in Binghamton in about 90 minutes. Picture those SD 50s in EL colors!!

Description:  NYCTA was also having some R 42s rebuilt at Hornell. These went back and forth on OIBU and BUOI for the duration of the several year long program. Later, R 44 and 46 cars would also get rebuilt, and ply the rails of the Tier. This R 42 is on BUOI at Elmira, headed back to New York.
