No date, location or photographer was given for the photo unfortunately. CNJ was slowly sliding into serious financial problems by the time this photo was taken. Conrail take-over will be its salvation/destruction depending on how you view the merger. Based on a comment by Tom Beckett (see below), this site matches the hump yard at Allentown, PA.
