Winding through the city of West Palm Beach with 80 rock hoppers, 442 is seen leading with 3387 on the back as they head to Miami. Back in the day before the double tracking, S.E. West Palm Beach would have stood just north of Okeechobee Blvd a bit around the farthest curve. A storage track tailed out of the siding on its south end, requiring a doll arm signal for SB movements. |

An attempt seeing this train at Stuart Bridge had failed so I tried to beat him as far south as I could. What I didn't know was that this train was going into Port Sewall siding because the crew had reached their 12 hours (on the law). 15 minutes later, the new crew was on board and took this train to Miami as the pass the GRS Searchlights at Port Sewall South. |
