Album Info:Burlington Northern Santa Fe Gulf Division / Galveston Subdivision Galveston, Texas, USA 13 October 2014 - 17:44 CST BN (SF) #2938 [EMD GP39-2R] BNSF #1805 [EMD SD38-2] This afternoon prior to the torrential downpours, I was photographing Galveston Yard from the Pelican Island Causeway / Harborsode Drive elevated roadway intersection. Reviewing my images while uploading, I took note of a green and black locomotive off in the distance.. After referencing the location on Bing Aerial Maps, I determined the locomotive was right outside the BNSF Galveston Yard Office. So, Deb and I took a little drive over to the yard office, knocked and explained our presence there. Most fortunate for us, the yardmaster himself answered the door and was very congenial in his granting his permission to shoot the locomotive provided I stay on the "road" side of the locomotive and not cross any tracks. © 2014 - Philip M.
