Description:  Strasburg's former LO&S Doodlebug stands at Leaman Place Junction, ready to head back to East Strasburg with one of the early season weekday excursions. Rebuilt from a unpowered coach in 1915, this car was originally narrow gauge and is the last piece of equipment that survives from the tiny Lancaster Oxford & Southern Railroad.

Title:  WATC 59
Description:  Sitting at the end of the SRNJ Salem Branch, this Alco has definitely seen better days. Built in 1948 for the Washington Terminal Company, it saw switching duties in Washington Union Station for both WATC and Amtrak until sale to the Tioga Transportation Museum of Flemingville, NY in 1986. The museum became the Tioga Central Railroad a year later to operate freight and passenger service on the ex LV branch out of Owego with 59 seeing brief useage before coming under private ownership and moving to the West Shore Railroad of Mifflinberg, PA in 1989. Changing hands once again, it was moved to the SRNJ in the 1990s.

Description:  Stored on a siding along former CNJ trackage in southern New Jersey is this former DL&W Edison Car MU, painted for fallen Maine shortline Maine Coast Railroad. Constructed as one of the powered MU cars by Pullman in 1930, this coach originally carried the number 2567 for the Lackawanna. Finally retired from active electric commuter service in 1984 by NJ Transit, this car went on to provide excursion service over the former MEC Rockland Branch.

Description:  Constructed in 1925 by Bethlehem Steel Company, this coach was originally used for luxury service on the CNJ's famed Blue Comet passenger train between Jersey City and Atlantic City. Named Westphal, this coach lasted in Blue Comet service until 1941. Later used for regular commuter service over the CNJ's lines out of Jersey City Terminal and later Newark Penn Station after the 1967 Aldene Plan. Currently owned by the URHS of NJ, this coach is one of six Blue Comet cars still in existance today and one of three from this famous train on the URHS roster.

Description:  The name "Beachcomber" can still be seen on the side of this former CNJ coach parked on home rails at Winslow Junction. After the Blue Comet run was discontinued, CNJ 1173 became part of the regular commuter pool. The name comes from its regular use on New York & Long Branch trains between Jersey City and Bay Head Junction.

Description:  This old sign can be seen near the grade crossing of Embreeville Road, a reminder of former operator Octoraro Railway which ran trains here from 1977-1994. Since then this line has had five different operators, RailAmerica's Delaware Valley Railway, Bethlehem Steel's Brandywine Valley Railway, Morristown & Erie Railway from New Jersey, East Penn Railway, and Regional Rail's East Penn Railroad, the current operator.

Title:  1872 Station
Description:  Constructed by NYS&W predecessor, New Jersey Midland Railroad, this station was originally named West Hackensack. Once standing on the opposite side of the right of way, it was moved to its present location in 1893 due to the double tracking of the mainline. At one time this building had a telegraph office in addition to Wells Fargo and Railway Express Agency services. Today it houses the Maywood Station Museum, an affiliate of the NYS&W Technical & Historical Society.
