Album Info:For a long time Canadian National had several subsidiary railroads in the US-DW&P, GTW, Central Vermont were the historic entries into the US market. They would sell the CV and the line to Portland ME, but acquire others, extending their reach to, of all places, Louisiana and Mississippi. This album encompasses all the CN roads during, and prior to, CN ownership. Includes B&LE, IC, WC, GTW, and CV.

Description:  In a few years, the GB&W would be taken over by Wisconsin Central, which itself would become part of CN. Meanwhile, the roster was all Alco. I wish I could have spent more time here seeing this interesting operation. For today, Im happy I was able to get #2 at the yard with a great power set.

Description:  We went to visit family in Gulf coastal Alabama recently, which involves a trip through Yazoo City, which we reach via US 49W from Belzoni. The ramp where it joins US 49E comes down right at the far south end of the IC yard there, and there is almost always a set of power. Today is like most, and a pair of CN painted units is coupled to a cut of 19 cars, seen from the front of the RV.,
