Album Info:On February 19, 1985, the assets of the Milwaukee Road were transferred to the Soo Line, including the trackage across North Iowa from Marquette to Sheldon. The traffic base on the line was mostly agricultural: corn, wheat, soybean, fertilizer and such. In the 1970's, the Milwaukee Road would frequently use 6 or 8 F units to haul the trains, making the line a magnet for railfans. I lived in Mason City from 1987-1989 and always enjoyed shooting the line.
