Album Info:Here is a one-page article entitled "He Knew 'John Bull.'" It was published originally in the January 1955 issue of 'Pennsy" magazine, page 16. "Life for a young fireman in the 1890's was hard work, Mr. [Clarence] Jobes remembers. 'Every engine crew had its regularly assigned locomotive in those days, and the fireman was responsible for keeping the engine polished and shining. Ours was No. 1033 and Dad wanted the engine perfect. He often sent me down to the engine house on Sundays, on my own time, to polish brass and varnish wood.'"
