Album Info:Amtrak New York Terminal District Hudson Line Claverack Industrial Track QCV 1.30 - State Street gc Hudson, New York, USA 30 April 2018 - 13:32 EDT CSX B765 - Hudson Local CSX #8846 [EMD SD40-2] CSX #8767 [EMD SD60M] So, while waiting for the owner of the Hudson U-Haul facility to return from a delivery, I heard a train horn blowing for a crossing in the distance. Didn't think much of it as the Amtrak Hudson Line is nearby. However, as it got closer I knew it wasn't Amtrak.. Turns out the U-Haul lot backed up the Claverack Industrial Track; and I have wanted to photograph the CSX local doing street running on it, but I never got the opportunity. I grabbed my camera and made a bee line for the r.o.w and caught the Hudson Local with covered hoppers of flour for the ADM Mill in Claverack. That structure by the State Street grade crossing just screams railroad architecture.. I -think- it the old Hudson Upper Station of the Hudson & Boston / Boston & Albany, but I'm not certain. © 2018 - Phantastic Pherroequinology by Philip M. Goldstein
