Album Info:The Valley Falls yard, the center of operations for the Providence and Worcester Railroad in the Rhode Island area. Located in the town of Cumberland, Rhode Island, 3 daily trains (except Saturday and the only Sunday Train PRWO) originate here - PR2, PR3 and the nightly train PRWO and on the return WOPR. At the southern end of the yard youll find the engine house and the well kept Valley Falls depot used as an office

Description:  Green Mountain 8278, Old Seattle & North Coast box car at Providence and Worcester's Valley Falls Yard, Cumberland, Rhode Island - going to scrap to Schnitzer/State Line Scrap, South Attleboro, Massachusetts for scrapping. The car was originally part of Brae Corporation' s IPD lease fleet. The Brae "emblem" is still visible between the door runner and the conspicuity stripe closest to the left truck.
