Description:  Blairsville. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by G.E. Lloyd that was taken near Blairsville, Pennsylvania, on 22 August 1953. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6167, a J-1 (2-10-4) "Texas" built in Juniata during March of 1944 and retired in February of 1960 after just 16 years of revenue service. Produced and distributed by Porter's Camera Store of Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Shown here are two Pennsylvania Railroad steam engines parked near the Blairsville Roundhouse. On the left is a J-1 (2-10-4) "Texas." On the right is PRR engine #7145, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built during November of 1913 and retired in May of 1954. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Pennsy Steam Locomotives" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (109-12).

Partially visible on the left is deadlined PRR engine #468, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built in Juniata during April of 1917 and retired in November of 1955. The Blairsville Coaling Tipple is partially visible on the right. The date is an approximation.
