Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Enola, Pennsylvania, in April of 1966. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5685, a B-1 (0-6-0) switcher built in Juniata during November of 1934, rated at 570 horsepower, and retired in February of 1967 after 33 years of faithful service. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide showing Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4941, an E-2B (B-B) electric built by General Electric in June of 1951, rated at 2,500 horsepower, and retired in June of 1965 after just 14 years of revenue service. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide showing (L to R) Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4943 and another unit whose number is not recorded. Both are E-2B (B-B) electrics built by General Electric and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. #4943 was built in October of 1951 and retired in June of 1965 after just 14 years of revenue service. Note that just one ~ not two ~ of the four pantographs is in the "up" position. The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded.
