Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5685, a B-1 (0-6-0) switcher built in Juniata during November of 1934, rated at 570 horsepower, and retired in February of 1967 after 33 years of faithful service. Both are E-2B (B-B) electrics built by General Electric and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. #4943 was built in October of 1951 and retired in June of 1965 after just 14 years of revenue service. Note that just one ~ not two ~ of the four pantographs is in the "up" position. The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded.
