Description:  Old Rivets. Here is a postal card entitled "'Ol' Rivets' gussied-up for Bicentennial." No Postmark. Caption On Reverse: "Called 'Ol' Rivets' because she was the first GG-1 built by the Pennsylvania RR, and the only one with riveted seams. Designer Raymond Loewy called for smooth, welded seams in the subsequent 139 copies. This view is from 1976. She now resides, wearing dignified vintage paint, in a proper museum."
