Album Info:A glorious and breezy Sunday takes me once again to Pine Junction. After passing under the EJ&E main on US 12 near Gary-Chicago Regional Airport and seeing several orange SDs of the "J" in my rear view mirror and being unable to turn around to get some decent shots, I was a bit frustrated. But as luck would have it, I was able to catch a different EJ&E movement into Kirk Yard near the junction for my first shots of the elusive "J". The action was intense for about the first hour and a half but then completely died. A CSX freight sat just east of the junction the whole time I was there with no other movements on the CSX main. All trains on the NS were eastbound oddly enough.

Description:  My first official shot of the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railway, albeit a crappy one. A NS stack train was passing in the foreground as the "J" train passed on the overhead main approaching Kirk Yard. Thankfuly the NS train would clear in time for me to get some decent shots.
