Description:  The line is already huge, just after the train opened at 4:00 P.M. It will stay like this well after 8:00 P.M. They finally closed down around 8:30 P.M. As temperatures dropped with the sunset, the heated tent with the food inside became a popular place.

Description:  The Santa Winter Wonderland Car sits at Main Street while puddles have begun to freeze. Hard to imagine this thing being a regular ICG Caboose at one time on the end of regular freights. I know 20 years ago this transformation wasn't in mind for it at all.

Title:  Northbound UP Manifest Train With the MKT Heritage Locomotive
Description:  The Katy Heritage Unit leads UP Train MNLTTX 23 past a harvested corn field on the way to the CN Interchange at Kinmundy, IL after a 2 hour wait for the MASNL at Poplar Bluff. From there it went to Chicago on the CN where it was taken off the train at Markham Yard. It went to NS at Gibson City, IL, then to Kansas City. From KC it traveled to Atlanta on NS Train 223, then back west on a NS Train to Memphis where the UP got it back.

Description:  The Local runs past with a Slug Set as a Effingham Police Officer showed up. Apparently we made some slackjawed, 2-tooth, wood chopping, redneck Hoosier neighbor paranoid and he called the police. The cop told us to keep doing what we were doing and be careful. The same toothless moron showed back up later and told us we should leave, about halfway threatening us, even asking us for ID. Who does this guy think he is? Anyway, we never changed what we were doing to accomodate him.
