Title:  Occupational hazard
Description:  When you come to a busy place like Rochelle, there's always a chance a train will be going by as you arrive with no opportunity to shoot it properly. In this case, both eastbound and westbound UP coal trains were crossing 9th St. at the same time. The eastbound (loads) cleared first, and I fished out my DSLR and snapped this shot of the DPU on the westbound even though it was looking straight into the sun, just to have SOMETHING from the two trains.

Description:  Notice the clear signal for westbound movement on the north main. Given the time of day, would have preferred an unobstructed shot of the westbound intermodal which was solidly blocked by this train's coal gons. This was at least the third time on this day that eastbound and westbound trains passed at the park.

Description:  I'd made the 90-minute drive to Rochelle for the one being led by Southern heritage unit 8099, which was supposedly being recrewed at Western Ave. @ 10:45 AM. It didn't come through Rochelle until after 6PM, by which time it had been dark over over an hour and I was well on my way home.
