Title:  OTVR Coal Train.
Description:  The OTVR is shoving half a coal train into the yard and will take the other half to Fergus Falls. The hill out of Barnesville and the other at Rothsay are just to much for the power to handle, so half trains at a time is the norm.

Description:  A scene that is rarely ever accomplished. the Breck local is almost 6 hours early today, allowing for the sun angle to be right. In 3 years this shot won't be possible, the 40's will prolly have disappeared, and in 2015 the HWY under the bridge is going to be moved north and pass up and over the tracks to avoid flooding problems.

Description:  CP 8716 passes some old ties from the original SOO Line right of way, which can barely been seen in the weeds on the far right. the lead engine is just feet away from the junction point. The stretch of track between Hoffman and Barrett we know it today is actualy the 3rd such alignment between the two towns. This is just west of the Pomme De Terre River crossing, the original river bridge is still there, but just barely.

Description:  For some odd reason an oil load is headed north to Fargo from Wahpeton. it also had 2 DPU's on the tail end facing away, must have ran to Fargo and then east on the Staples sub, very odd. Update!!! This is an Ethanol load from Hankinson ND, but I still dont know why it ran this odd route VS just going to Willmar then the Twin Cities.
