Viewing Album:  IC&E: A look at the West End

Album Info:Before the IC&E and the DM&E are added to the Fallen Flag list, I was able to take a quick but quite exciting look at their operations at Mason City and points West, along the former IMRL, and before that, the Milwaukee Road. We caught up to Train HUCC at Austin,MN and went South from there, running into a transfer run at Mason City (Train 956), and caught the nightly (except Saturday) 940 at Emittsburg just before sunset, and again at Algona at night. Enjoy the photos, which may be the last I'll ever get of the ICE.

Title:  ICE 6211
Description:  940 trotts through town blowing loud enough to wake the dead. This would be my last shot of the train, but not my last look. I stood next to videographer Mike Savona (C-Vision member) as they topped the hill just East of Algona, which might quite possibly be my last look at the IC&E.
