Album Info:It was difficult to find much to crow about on this dismal Sunday. A few of us had planned to gather again at Perryville, but it was difficult to get excited about a couple of hours behind the wheel to stand in the rain to wait for trains. As a last resort I choose the Halethorpe MARC station just south of Baltimore. At least here one could set in his vehicle and watch the track in both directions, something that is not possible at Perryville. On the weekends the parking lot was mostly empty. The Canon f2.4 made photography possible, even so the results are just tolerable. One interesting sidebar was the spray of rainwater (and steam?) off the lead pantograph. Id never seen this b4. Again this year the afternoon Extras were made up of NJT equipment. /DL

Description:  With a 200 MPH closing speed I timed this one just a tad late. The Acela is train #2254 northbound with Regional 143 southbound. Note the water spray off the overhead. /DL
