A small pipe under the track was unable to handle the results of 8 inches of rain in a 8 hour period resulting in the water pushing through the ballast and rushing through to the other side. I understand it goes as far south as Metcalf FL now. Trackage to the left is remnants of the old AB&C line that used to go all the way to Fitzgerald via Moultrie and Tifton. CSX now operates it as far north as Coolidge GA. |
