Album Info:I arrived home from work to hear PCC whistling at crossings. Grabbing the camera I said, "I'm going to get a few shots and be back shortly, but the further West I travelled the better the light was. I ended up going all the way to Wallula and arrived home at 8:30PM; cold supper and some "splain'en" to do!

Description:  On the West end of Touchet, the railroad stops paralleling Hwy 12 and follows Byrnes Road. This photo is taken were the tracks leave the road to take a more gradual up the hill. This location is as nice when the fields are green as it is when they are golden!

Approaching Zanger Junction
Title:  Approaching Zanger Junction
Description:  Our train is again broadside to the sun. Zanger Juction is where the NP and UP diverged. NP headed up Vansickle Canyon to get to Athena, Oregon and eventually Pendleton. This line was removed in the early 1990s. Although I continued west to Wallula, this was my last shot!
