Freight cars that could be repaired brought to the downtown Heflin Yard and placed in the clear until they could be moved to one of the system car shops. After placing the damaged cars in the clear, which had been towed by the wrecker train, the wrecker would ease back to the wreck site and continue cleaning up. |
