Album Info:The day after thanksgiving 2009. I knew there would not be a thing on CSX rails through Athens all day so i headed south to the land of shortlines. First stop was SCS in Madison, which had just received a ex-UP SD40T-2. I expected to find it at the depot but no such luck, all was dead there. I called a friend who railfans the GC to see if they were running today, but no such luck on that front either. After searching around the GP plant and a little railroad archeology on the old CofG, i head down to Shady Dale since i knew thats the only place it could be. Pulling up to the grain elevator in Shady Dale i found it sitting out in the open but shadowed in, however i didnt have much time to complain as before i could even snap a shot, i hear a horn from the south, which could only mean one thing, NS! I found NS G07 ready to head south to Macon with the cars that SCS had brought. After they built their train i chased them south shooting them in two locations in Shady Dale, downtown Monticello and them switching the GP mill in Minetta.
