Title:  Water level route MP 289
Description:  This train just came off the St.Lawrence sub at CP 291 and is heading toward Dewitt yard. The interesting thing about it is the second locomotive is a tribute unit to a Colonel Philip Hooper. This particular locomotive has rarely been sited this far north.

Description:  This caught me by surprise and left me with very little time to set-up. I'm guessing this one engine is pulling a string of empty hoppers from ALCOA in Massena, NY. The reciprocal of this train is the K533 which brings bauxite loads to ALCOA. Here the train is at the south end of the St. Lawrence-sub on the east shore of Onondaga Lake.

Description:  The CSX Fulton local is clearing the wye at CP293 and heading north on the St. Lawrence-sub. Opportunities to see this train in daylight are rare because it usually runs at night between 20:00 and 06:00 hours; winter weather probably set this one back. The crew will probably set cars out at Woodard before ending up back in Fulton.

Description:  A small group of friends planned ahead to chase CSX's northbound train on this day with the ultimate goal of shooting it in golden evening light somewhere around Potsdam, NY. The shot in Potsdam did'nt work out, but a good time was had by all on the chase anyway. Here we see the train crossing over the east end of the Oneida River.
