The Grenloch Branch used to continue another 6 miles south until the tracks were removed in 1972, and the remainder to this point in 1984.

Description:  CA05 heads south on the Grenloch Branch past the location of the never used Westville cut-off. The cut-off was intended to be grade-separate, and therefore crossed over the Grenloch. Both bridge foundations still exist on either side of the tracks. I think the steel bridge itself was torn down during the WW2 scrap drives. Trailing unit is the NS 3016.

There used to be an amusement park and picnic area at Grenloch Lake and peanuts were one of the favorite snacks for visitors. They'd throw their shells out the windows of the train on the way back to Camden covering the tracks with them, hence the nickname 'Peanut Line'.
