Description:  Its late in the atfernoon in Klamath Falls, and all the signals are showing approach into the UP (Former SP yard) in K Falls. Behind me is a location known as Texum where the Modoc Line leaves the Shasta Route. Ahead is Biber Line Jct. which is BNSFs Inside Gateway through California down to Keddie. BNSF has trackage rights from Chemult to Klamath Falls in order to access their historic Great Northern/Western Pacific line through the remote wilderness of northeastern California.

Description:  The night of 12/23/09 Amtrak 11 (southbound) hit a tree at Delta, about 30 miles north of Redding. It damaged the lead units airtanks, so a UP unit was cut off from a freight and put on the point. The result was a 9 hour late Amtrak which normally comes through this part of California in the middle of the night, so I was not going to miss the opportunity to photograph in the daylight.
