Title:  Last rays of sun on the Warbonnets
Description:  The last rays of sun glint off a set of Santa Fe red and silver units. The sun was also setting on that magnificent paint scheme. UPDATE: Maybe I was too hasty on that comment. I just did a trip to LA(March 2019), and saw quite a few of these. The SD 75's are off the roster and now in the PRLX fleet, but there are quite a few GE's still knocking around in varying degrees of faded red and silver. Actually, some of them look pretty good. I saw one train that had three, all in decent paint.

Description:  Right after Memorial Day 1996, I delivered a load of beer to a distributor in Ottumwa Iowa. While waiting on my next load, I caught this train rolling east. In the pre SD70 and AC4400 everywhere era, coal trains usually got a mix of 3000 HP units, such as these.

Description:  One of the things I tried to do when I could was follow routes that put me next to rail lines. Sometimes it yielded interesting results, such as this along US 287in Texas, though the problems inherent with parking a 53 foot trailer often prevented me from getting the ideal shot.
