Description:  This is a Marathon Maple Festival excursion train that ran from Jamesville to Marathon, NY. The train is led by steam engine #142, so, they are actually going away from us here. You can see the snowpacked ice still on the surface of West River Road; a dirt road that runs parallel with the tracks and the Tioughnioga River for at least a good couple of miles.

Description:  Operating long-nose forward the train is crossing Kellogg Rd. and the Tioughnioga River. I believe this track went as far as Cincinnatus, NY and beyond long ago. Now it's a spur track between the NYS&W mainline and Suit-Kote.
