4006 trails a set of light power that has just crossed 69th Street and is passing through the swamp in North Bergen. The power is headed for Resources Terminal a few miles to the south where cars for a westbound stack train will be gathered. A Conrail "multilevel" train passes on the adjacent River Line. |

While not geared for freight service, the use of E-units mixed with SD45s does have a precedent (Erie Lackawanna in the 1970s, for example). Everything to the left of the train in this view has changed. The eastbound passenger platform canopy was demolished a few years after this photo was taken to make way for a wider access road. |
