This is the first time I'd shot from this vantage point, even though I moved to the area in 2007. |

The IMRL operated the mostly Ex-SOO track from 1997 when the CP divested themselves of the line they claimed to be losing money on, through 2002 when IMRL owner Washington Corp. deemed it unprofitable. Cedar American Railroad Holdings certainly reversed that opinion of the line with the Iowa Chicago & Eastern before its sale back to CP in 2008. |

After getting the UP Special Agent (and longtime friend) called on me, UP Train ZMQYC 15 rounds the curve at CP Y166 Henderson on the UP Hoxie Sub. Apparently a city cop called the railroad on me and RMCC sent Steve (whom has known me since I was a fetus) to check me out. He was pretty amused that not only a railfan was called in at Poplar Bluff, but it was me of all people--a guy that's only around here a half dozen days a year now. |
