Album Info:This April 1918 Baldwin switcher was the last operating steam locomotive in the Los Angeles area; donated in August 1957 to Travel Town in Griffith Park, Los Angeles, California. These photos pre-date its retirement by 5 years. Looks to be a railroad "friend" posing with the loco in the UP yards in Los Angeles, CA. Probably knew its days were numbered!
