Seaboard Coast Line U36B 1822 is parked on the Michoud Siding with a crewless run-through train for the Southern Pacific, waiting for permission from the SP to deliver it. Michoud Siding extended for six miles from the north end of Gentilly Yard, and it was very common for run-through trains to be parked here for hours, or even days, waiting to be delivered to either the SP or the MP. |
