Shown here (R to L) is PRR engine #2299 and two B-units whose numbers are not visible. All were built by EMD. #2299 is an EF-25 built in 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They are pulling an eastbound coal train and are about to pass under the 24th Street Bridge. |

The U25B was built in August 1962 (c/n 34529), class GF-25, became PC and CR 2601. |

Winter Night. Here is an original telephoto view that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during February of 1966. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2299, #2656, and another unit whose number is not recorded. #2299 is an EF-25 built by EMD in 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. #2656 is a GF-25 built by General Electric in 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. They are pulling a mixed-cargo freight train, and are about to pass the Altoona Station on their way up the Allegheny Mountians via the Horseshoe Curve to Gallitzin and points West. |
