Built for the CB&Q in 1923 by Baldwin, this Mikado-type loco was a class O-1A with 64" drivers, engine+tender wheelbase of 70' and an engine weight of 316,780 lb. Although not listed on the back of the photo, the location and date were determined after a search found the negative was sold on eBay in 2007. No phtographer was listed.

CB&Q 2-8-2 Class O-1-A 4980
Title:  CB&Q 2-8-2 Class O-1-A 4980
Description:  Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 2-8-2 Class O-1-A 4980 at Galesburg, Illinois on July 1, 1956, photographer unknown, print by Gordon C. Bassett, Chuck Zeiler collection. Number 4980 was built by Baldwin in September 1923 (c/n 57073), and sold for scrap in October 1960. A personal observation, this locomotive appeared extremely polished for 1956, I wonder is it was a candidate for preservation.
