American Steel and Wire of Worcester, Massachusetts --- No 18 is a 3-foot gauge saddle tanker manufactured by Vulcan in 1917. Old No18 done fairly better than the Boston & Maine caboose displayed at Athol, Massachusetts. No 18 now resides at the Connecticut Antique Machinery Association over in Kent, Connecticut where No 18 was cosmetically restored - more photos of No 18 and the Connecticut Antique Machinery Association are available at the NERAIL photo site |
