Description:  The Southern Belle crosses the 1900 Chicago & Alton Missouri River Bridge on the KCS Mexico Sub. on its way to East St. Louis to check out the new work done along their route in the St. Louis area. This bridge was damaged by the Great Flood of '93, and had to be partially rebuilt on the west end by the Gateway Western.

Description:  The Belle headed out today for a trip around town, showing railroad executives from several companies, AAR, FRA, and shippers their properties. They left Kansas City Union Station at 1500, went to Santa Fe Jct., up the KCT to the Gooseneck, the BNSF across the Hannibal Bridge and past BNSF Murray Yard, NS to Avondale, then Voltz Yard, the DM&E to Airline Jct., the KCS past Knoche and UP Neff Yard to Sheffield, and the KCT back to KCUS. Here they have wyed at Voltz, and are headed down the DM&E.
