They steamed so well, in fact, that no engineman was ever known to have complained about low steam pressure. But they were dirty hogs to run ..." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6912, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during November of 1926 and retired in November of 1951 after 25 years' service. |
