Description:  The engineer is leaning way out to see his string of cars in this unidentified yard. The locomotive is one of the 25 Mikadoes built by Alco-Brooks for the Chicago & Eastern Illinois. Specs - N-1 class, 63" drivers, 175 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine weight of 300,000 lb, tractive effort of 55,533 lb. The class was retired between 1947-50. No date, location or photographer was given for this photo but since the tender is numbered instead of lettered, it is some time after the early 1940's.
