Here is a photo via Rail Photo Service. At the right (R to L) is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #2032 and another locomotive whose road number is not recorded. #2032 is a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during March of 1918 and retired in October of 1956. At the left is CB&Q engine #99268, an E7A built by GM-EMD in September of 1947 and rated at 2,000 horsepower. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. John S. It was published originally in the March 1965 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 27. Top Photo: Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #3378 and another locomotive whose number is not recorded. Both are "K" Class (4-6-2) "Pacifics." #3378 is a K-2S built in Juniata during 1911 and retired in November of 1938. Bottom Photo: Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2032 and #5496. Both are K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics" built in Juniata. #2032 was built during March of 1918 and retired in October of 1956, while #5496 was built in February of 1928 and retired in October of 1947. |
