In this context, it's got its "elephant ears" on and is ready to fly with "The Golden Arrow." (#35 of 36)

Description:  Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Enola, Pennsylvania, on 27 June 1948. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6772, an M-1A (4-8-2) "Mountain" built in Juniata during October of 1930 and retired in August of 1955. Note the trainphone apparatus on the tender's deck. Partially visible at the right is PRR engine #3876, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during June of 1923 and retired in April of 1950. It was published originally in the August 1956 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 54. All of the locomotives pictured here are PRR Class K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics." Top Left-Hand Photo: #5473 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during 1927, reconditioned in 1944, and retired in February of 1956. Top Right-Hand Photo: #3876 was built in Juniata during 1923 and retired in April of 1950. Bottom Left-Hand Photo: #5385 was built in Juniata during 1924 and retired in June of 1948. Bottom Right-Hand Photo: #1139 was built in Juniata during 1917 and retired in 1956 after 39 years of faithful service.
