"John Stevens," 0-4-0, 1925
Title:  "John Stevens," 0-4-0, 1925
Description:  Vintage. Here is a photo of a replica of the "John Stevens ~ First Steam Locomotive ~ 1825." This replica was fabricated at the Altoona Works. Despite the pistons and cog wheels, this locomotive is basically a wagon with a boiler and water barrel. Not much attention paid to crew comfort either! The "John Stevens" replica is now on exhibit at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg, Pennsylvania.
