TVA brought its "Baby Trainmaster" out to display at the "Spirit of Tennessee" Bicentennial Train's stop at Gallatin during the summer of 1996. The locomotive is still stored at the Gallatin Steam Plant, but rail shipments to the facility have not occurred since 1997. |

| Description: |
The famous "Baby Trainmaster" is "laid up good order" at the Tennessee Valley Authority's Gallatin plant. Built in 1958, it has spent all of its existence here & is the only one of its kind left in the United States. There have not been rail shipments of coal to the plant for years, but TVA indicates that will change soon. Ex-US Army S2 F3061 in the background. (Taken with TVA permission) |
