CB&Q F3 162C
Title:  CB&Q F3 162C
Description:  Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad F3 162C westbound Naperville, Illinois on December 18, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This is Second Train #11, the Nebraska Zephyr. In addition to Zephyr duties, Train #11 also carried the mail between Chicago and Lincoln, Nebraska. This second section is all mail storage cars. It is in charge of freight units, probably capable of keeping up with the stop and go schedule of First #11. Locomotive 162C was built in June 1948 (c/n 6507) as the rear cab of motor 162 (CB&Q term for a set of coupled locomotives), and traded in for credit on an order for GP40's in January 1968.
